The monster, which looks like a snarling "Creature from the Black Lagoon," invades a sleepy seaside town. The lighthouse keeper, newly widowed and estranged from the town folk, has been leaving food out for the monster for years, unaware of it's blood lust. When the monster's appetite outstrips the keeper's ability to serve it, bloodless decapitated corpses start to show up.

Don't go to Piedras Blancas!!!!
As a kid it was terrifying, especially the last ten minutes around the Light House.
Today as a middle aged man, it still is good to watch on a rainy stormy day. Parents should not allow their children to watch the creature carrying a decapitated head even though it looks stupid and fake. It gave me nightmares as a youngster.
My advice is not to feed the monsters near the beaches anywhere around the world.
